When you think of brands, what comes to your mind? Is it the company name, logo, symbols, their products, their signature tunes you hear in a commercial or even their smell? A company’s brand defines them based on what their consumers think and is what differentiates them from their competitors. But a company’s brand is more than that. It’s about what they stand for in their consumers’ minds and how the consumer feels in their hearts and minds. A career in branding can be exciting, innovative, and is suitable for those with an entrepreneurial spirit. You are constantly maintaining your brand and image to your target audience, and not just making it a name that consumers know, but emotionally appealing to your market. A successful brand manager is not only knowledgeable about their own brad, but is aware of who they are up against and knowing how they can differentiate themselves. A brand manager needs to be able to think strategically and pay attention to detail, and is results-focused.
